My name is Dylan L. Malamute. I’m a proud Koyukon Athabaskan from the villages of Huslia and Allakaket, raised in the tight-knit community of North Pole, Alaska. My journey started early—at 16, I entered the workforce and never looked back. From cleaning a 30,000 sq. ft facility at Alaska Club South, to making sandwiches at Subway, to working the floors at The Home Depot while attending school, I developed grit, resilience, and a deep respect for hard work.

Later, I joined Mainscape, a landscaping firm servicing Alaska’s military bases, and supplemented my income through DoorDash. When the season ended, I joined GCI—the largest telecommunications provider in the state—as a Field Service Technician. That role expanded my technical expertise and sparked a deeper ambition: business ownership.

It was during this chapter of my life that I founded Firm Mission LLC, a Native American-owned brokerage firm that supports federal agencies in sourcing high-quality products and services. As I stepped into the federal contracting space, I realized my true mission wasn’t just entrepreneurship—it was creating opportunities for my people. Firm Mission is more than a business; it’s a platform for economic empowerment, representation, and education for Native communities.

I’m also a family man. In 2020, my partner and I welcomed our first daughter into the world. As of 2025, we’re excited to be expecting twins. Everything I do is rooted in building a legacy—for my family, my community, and future Native entrepreneurs.

Our goal at Firm Mission LLC is to serve as a trusted partner to government agencies while inspiring and educating Native peoples in business—helping them navigate systems, build capacity, and claim their place in industries where we’ve long been underrepresented.
